On the Tail Winds of a Full Moon

As I lay in my bed at 3 am the other morning, WIDE awake, it occurred to this veteran astrologer that I should check the stars. I knew there was a Full Moon the evening before. Many of us are susceptible to their intense light vibrations for a day or three. Of course, I had just boasted to my acupuncturist that I’m sleeping very well ALL of the time… seven to eight hours every night and excellent FitBit scores. Ha!

Just when you think you’ve got something handled, it switches.

It’s not what it seemed. Your thoughts change. The choice you made just a moment ago is suddenly unclear, wrong even.

Welcome to Mars in Gemini, the Mercury-retrograde like energy pattern we’re living in for seven months, since August until March. Mars the warrior planet, running forward to launch the next phase while still doing the research. This Mars was hanging out with the Moon of the Full Moon, adding a fiery definite uncertainty.

At the same time, the Full Moon made a stress aspect to blissful, confusing Neptune. The need to integrate our data, let go of non-essentials, live a creative, heart centered soul path filled with truth and meaning… and … let’s not forget Saturn chiming in asking us to make sure the forward direction is aligned with karmic destiny. What are you really here to accomplish?

Sure, I can do all of that…

When I completely let go of the feeling the world is falling apart

Or at least let go of the idea that it has to be NOT falling apart for me to live the integrated path that has been creeping up on me slowly and surely since we were all in our PJ’s learning to work Zoom and stock up on toilet paper.

We’ve been on a bridge since the beginning of 2021. January gives us the gift of three retrograde planets turning direct and also a NEW Moon — a new Aquarius start, to match one of the big cycle shifts in 2020.

Innovation • Authenticity • Big Changes

Mark your calendar for January 22nd. This will be the time to begin moving forward, a bit of a late start for the New Year, but that’s ok.

Aquarius brings us potential for radical change. By the end of January, we’ll move into a couple of months of no retrograde, reviewing energy. We can inch forward with our new insights steeped in the journey of 2020 and its aftermath.

Perhaps this lull will allow us to receive Pluto, lord of the underground (also known as the shadow in psychology) as it dances into Aquarius in March — while Saturn, representing the urge for success and accomplishment (and well known for blocking us until we’re mature and ready for the task), will move away from Aquarius to spend a few years floating in the cosmic ocean of Pisces.

Dynamic levels of change await.

We’re on a bridge.

The city has collapsed behind us.

Where are we going, and what will you build now?

If we work together, we can do this!
