Sex Love Crazy - The Practical Edition

Chart themes show us why we seek certain types of people: Unavailable? Cut and run? Unfaithful? Or why one person waits for “the one” and others prefer freedom, polyamory or simply to be alone. We need to know personal relationship wiring first—then we can look at simple chart compatibility techniques. To know our true nature, to understand our beloveds, and then to evolve to express our strengths is the gift of relationship astrology.

Kay Taylor integrates evolutionary astrology with psychosynthesis, intuitive mastery, and a wealth of healing wisdom. With a thriving practice for over 35 years, her Soul Path School offers complete training in astrology and intuitive/healing practices. She is Education Director for OPA and lectures regularly at conferences & groups. Writing: Soul Path Way (2016); Conscious or Crazy (2019); chapters in The Professional Astrologer (2015) & Essential Astrology (2019).  Certified by OPA, ISAR CAP and NCGR Level II.

Those Pesky Outer Planets: Putting Them in Perspective

The discovery of Uranus in 1750 turned astrology on its head. Neptune’s emergence coincided with the first use of anesthesia. We found Pluto at the same time nuclear energy was harnessed. Clearly these planets are “transpersonal” (beyond the personal), yet have somehow overtaken the field of personal astrology, resulting in the loss of long-held principles. Can invisible planets “rule” signs? Are they “higher” vibrations of “lower” planets? How do you know when they are important in a person’s chart? Learn all this and more about those pesky outer planets!

Linea Van Horn, C.A., NCGR-PAA, is the Astrologer at Large. Professional since 1998, Linea is Founder and President Emerita of the San Francisco Astrological Society (1992 – 2014). Formerly employed in the astrology Internet industry, Linea is an experienced astrological advisor, respected teacher, published author, and dynamic public speaker. She devotes herself to client work, teaching, writing, and community building in the San Francisco Bay Area. Member of AFAN, ISAR and OPA. Visit Linea's website:

Making the Moon Work for You

Learn how to use the transits of the Moon for planning personal and professional projects and activist campaigns. Make the Moon work for you in a grounded way by aligning your goals with your personal monthly and annual timing cycles. In this lively and practical lecture, you’ll learn how to plan and carry out all of your projects when they’re best supported by the astro-weather -- like using a good tailwind to fly faster.

Bear Ryver is an Intersectional Astrologer and Reiki Master - recipient of the Organization for Professional Astrology’s Most Promising Astrologer Scholarship in 2018. He offers private consultations through his practice Psyche & Soul Astrology with the mission of assisting clients in remaining grounded and empowered while accelerating their growth. With a background in anti-oppression activism and organizing, his research integrates perspectives of multiple schools of astrological thought while exploring the intersections of power, privilege, and politics as seen in the chart.

This dynamic event will be held at the Finnish Hall, 1970 Chestnut Street @ University (10 min walk from North Berkeley BART) The optional “meet the speakers” dinner will be held at Casa Latina on San Pablo Avenue near University, just a few blocks away.
