TURNING CHALLENGES INTO STRENGTHS - Sunday, April 11th - 2 pm to 5 pm - $50
Most of us have particular challenges that repeat in our lives and are shown fairly clearly in our astrology charts as hard geometric connections between key planets. Whether the challenge is found in financial issues, relationship, career, health or any other area of life, the process of identifying the energies and understanding the integrated and healed goal can create a sense of empowerment and peace. Helpful understanding as well as healing processwork in the workshop and that you can use at home will be included.
EMPATHY & ENERGETIC SENSITIVITY - Saturday, April 24th - 2 pm to 5 pm - $50
Are you too sensitive? If you find you have difficulty making decisions when you're around other people, you know you absorb negative energies from others or feel drained after social events -- or you find yourself feeling shy in groups while you feel perfectly (or at least relatively!) normal when you're alone or with one or two people, you are probably very open on the clairsentient (clear feeling) or empathic level and could particularly benefit from this workshop designed to explore how this psychic skill works--and works against us! Learn how to create boundaries while still feeling connected, learn to listen to and interpret the feeling realm of friends and strangers, and discover how this talent can be a very special psychic gift.
INTUITIVE TRAINING WORKSHOP - Saturday, May 8th- 10 am to 5 pm - $120 (lunch included)
Many people experience some level of psychic awareness, such as having dreams, visions and feelings that come true. Yet most would love to develop these skills to be able to receive accurate information when it’s really needed and to be able to trust this guidance too. This workshop is designed to help you understand more about your natural abilities—how you specifically receive information through the chakra “antennas”—and to deepen your clarity, accuracy and trust. We will do several psychic style meditations throughout the day, as well as learning about grounding, running energy and creating boundaries, connecting with your spirit guides, clairvoyance (the ability to see energy) and an intro to aura reading. Whether you are a total beginner or have practiced meditation and developed your intuitive skills, this workshop will provide an abundance of clear, compassionate and grounded information with personal attention to how you naturally receive your guidance.
ASTROLOGY AS A SPIRITUAL MAP - Thursday, May 6th- 7 pm to 9 pm - $30
Many people have been asking me for a basic astrology class. This will be that introduction to the chart as a wholistic picture of who you are on a soul level at the moment of birth and the timing of important periods of transformation in your life. Discussing the basics of astrology signs, the planets, the meaning of the houses and various astrological terms, this class will help you understand the deeper meaning of your own chart than typical sun sign horoscopes and will show you how to work with tools such as the online astrology sites.
2012 - LEARNING TO RIDE THE WAVE OF TRUE CREATIVITY - Sunday, May 23 - 2 pm to 5 pm - $50
As we move closer to the fifth dimensional reality shift, our ability to create is accelerating. This can create stress and confusion because we're no longer so attached to our old ways, we're craving simplicity, and many are just plain tired. What do we really want now? When we align with the new paradigm energies of creativity, healing and service, amazing situations are created and the perfect people seem to show up. Manifesting techniques are still important but there are subtle changes required to co-create efficiently in this new energy. It is like riding a wave and learning how to do it keeps us from floating in circles in the tide pools.

There is room for 10 people in each workshop. Cancellation seven days before start time allows your prepaid fee to be refunded. Cancellations with good reason (such as illness) or 48 hours or earlier before the start time of a workshop can be applied to future workshops. No shows and fanciful cancellations at the last minute are not refundable. All of these Emeryville workshops are held near the Public Market building. DREAM INTERPRETATION. Saturday, May 1st, 1:00 to 2:30 PST: Your dreams are a key part of your intuitive guidance. Learn simple techniques to deepen your understanding. Bring a recent dream to class.
GHOSTS & SPIRITS IN YOUR HOME: A lesson in clearing energy. Thursday, May 6th, 5:00 PM TO 6:30 PM PST. Learn how to connect with spirit energy in your home or in places you're visiting, decide whether it is good or bad for it to be there, and then use psychic techniques for clearing. You will actually be guided through a process during the teleclass to clear the space you're in.

You can be on any telephone from any location. I will be able to talk to all of you, take questions (you dial '1' on your phone and I see on my computer screen that your hand is raised!). I can even assign you into pairs to do mini readings or talk about a meditation process, just like an in person class (Some of you don't like the pair work and I'm going to give you an opt-out option to write while others are talking). I can 'walk around the room' and participate in your dyad for a few minutes to provide personal guidance. If there are handout materials I will email them to you before the class.

Previous Retreats:
I have taken four groups now to the Pyrenee mountains to see the caves (which have more to do with Goddess energy than paintings of animals) and enjoy the delicious food and lifestyle of rural France. Tuscany in 2007 was amazing with a medieval castle location outside of Florence and day trips to Sienna and Assisi. In 2008 we went to Costa Brava on the northeast coast of Spain near Barcelona and lounged around on the beaches and walked every morning along the sea--with just enough time for meditation and inner work. Occasionally I offer local retreats to relaxing places like Calistoga, CA. Still considering future trips to England, France, Crete and Spain. Taking a break while the economy finds its way and I write and play.

May 15-20, 2008: Denver, Colorado: Kay lectured at the United Astrological Congress (UAC) in Denver, the largest international astrological conference ever held. The topic was: Grounded Magic: Integrating Intuition with Astrological Counseling (psychological track: Saturday morning @ 9 am) The skilled use of intuition can facilitate a powerful, healing astrological reading. Without intuition or empathic resonance, new astrologers sometimes aren’t quite sure where to start the consultation or how to decide what's truly relevant, and even seasoned astrologers sometimes fail to really "see" the client. This lecture will discuss the advantages of integrating intuition and gives an overview of how to safely develop intuitive clarity and accuracy while staying present with the astrological facts.
