May: NORWAC, Seattle, WA: Join me at the ISAR Consulting Skills Training, a fantastic opportunity to deepen your astrological consulting skills. It's one thing to know your astrological facts, but it's another to be able to impart your wisdom in a way that heals, enlightens and serves the path of the person you're sitting with. It's a balancing act! You will learn how to listen empathically, communicate effectively, and deal with challenging situations. This training is part of the ISAR certification process and begins conveniently on the evening of May 24th and concludes on the 26th, prior to the conference commencement. I will be one of the co-trainers.

 

 

October 2011: Lecturing at SOTA Conference!

I am lecturing at the SOTA (State of the Art) Astrology Conference in Niagara Falls, NY from October 27-31. I will be offering two lectures: one on 'Alchemy & Symbols,' using psychosynthesis and inner process to heal and integrate aspects in the chart, and the other on 'Dark Truth', uncovering and healing sexual abuse issues in the chart. I'm thinking of offering a workshop before or after the conference. Please let me know if this conference and/or a workshop at that time this might be of interest to you. Dark Truth: Sexual Abuse and Wounding in the Chart
There are various indications of possible sexual trauma in the chart. The synthesis of countless client sessions where details of traumatic events were shared as well as some famous charts provide the underlying data for this lecture on astrological themes and markers. Additionally the consulting skills and ethical awareness needed for addressing these issues will also be emphasized. There are alternate meanings to the same planetary placements, clients may be at various levels of awareness or acceptance, and the damage possible through insensitive remarks or implanting suggestions is profound.

The Heart of Healing: Alchemy through Symbols
When we explain the meaning of hard aspects or nodal oppositions to a client, sometimes they “get it” and are able to integrate the energies and change behavior and events, yet often they continue to feel stuck. Truthfully, we all can feel baffled about how to heal the obvious issues in our chart or to embody what we know intellectually. The cultivation of spiritual empathy plus dialogue and guided meditations can help access the wise Self and unconscious energies. Through unique inner symbolism, true integration and healing can be deep and lasting.

Conscious Astrology:
Healing Hard Aspects with Psychosynthesis
