May 1, 2008: “When an old culture is dying, the new culture is created by those people who are not afraid to be insecure.” Rudolph Bahro (German political thinker) I just read this quote in a delightful little book from Pema Chodron, Practicing Peace in Times of War. Pema Chodron is a Buddhist nun who knows how to speak directly to our hearts in a grounded and compassionate way. I encourage you to consider her books. I do believe our old culture is dying, and I see the new culture emerging at the same time. Many of you are hearing about and asking me about the prophecies for the “end of the world” in 2012. To me this is not the actual end of the world, but rather this is the end of the world as we know it, and to me that seems like a good thing–there’s a lot that needs to end–asap! However, there’s also many wonderful beautiful people and places here and we must not lose sight of the beauty and compassion we can experience already. As we move towards 2012, this is our time to create a different paradigm on the earth. The infrastructure of grass roots organizations, individuals, communities and conscious small businesses working together can evolve into a world culture that respects all people, plants, animals, birds and the earth. It is a challenge to live in such rapidly changing times, to not be afraid to be insecure, to stay open hearted and present. We are challenged to be brave in the face of changes that look like loss and destruction, and to find ways to help and serve in whatever capacity we feel drawn to. Remember to breathe and slow down. We have the old expression about “stop and smell the roses”. This is the time we can surely benefit from that scent so deeply connected with the idea of Love.

Create miracles! Support each other! Refine the Vision! (October 23, 2006)

In the middle of August we experienced a major planetary shift of consciousness. Many have noticed an increased ability to manifest their thoughts and desires more rapidly. This ability will become more apparent as the next few years unfold. While the shortening of the time delay between thought and physical manifestation can be a miraculous advantage, it can also create misery, suffering and drama for those prone to fearful dark thoughts. Since a great deal of the mainstream media continues to promote the culture of fear, it is important to remember to stay grounded, clear and focused on the Light and the positive–to remember the group vision of peace and harmony on this planet. It is also important to support each other to remember the Truth during this radical shift phase. There are new voices, new media, transcendent creative ideas, healing modalities, and new structures being born every minute.

The wave of the Tsunami (January 19, 2005)

I have received several requests to give meaning to the loss and suffering as a result of the tsunami in Asia. Although those of us who consider ourselves spiritual or metaphysical often like to think in terms of lessons and growth through painful experiences, in traumatic experiences such as this there is a way that any discussion on that level seems insensitive and trite, at the very least.
I find that in the face of vast suffering, all we can do is acknowledge the suffering with our hearts and understand that this is the nature of life in physical reality. We can hold a place of compassion and we can do whatever our personal part is, whether it is to send money or join a fundraising event or become part of an organization that provides disaster relief. We each know inside to what we are called.
We are part of a giant ecosystem of plants, animals and various interrelated energies. We seem to be out of balance at this time, although a review of history will uncover no less suffering in the past. This feels like a huge suffering because of the number of souls involved in so many ways, just as we felt the suffering of the World Trade towers and we are all feeling, every day in every moment, the suffering of poverty and disease and loss everywhere. One of the big differences of our time is that the media exposes many details of what’s going on around the world. The mainstream media picks its favorite causes, but the alternative media uncovers the less popular visions of trauma. Either way, death and destruction is no longer a distant idea; we see the graphic images so much we can so easily go on overload or become immune.
I believe that we all choose our experiences from a soul perspective, so the choice of this many souls to leave at once is a sacrificial message of vast proportions. Is this to call attention to underground nuclear testing? The environment being polluted and ruined beyond repair? Is there a mass exodus of souls from the planet at this time? Are we meant to come together as humans and develop compassion and take the action of caring for others less fortunate very seriously? Yes to all of it, and again, you know where your own heart leads you. To feel unbearable sadness about these and other events of loss is human. To feel joyful and alive and continue to live your truth is also part of your humanness.

The reason for this particular organization is that apparently Sri Lanka does not have the same infrastructure to provide services that some of the more developed countries do, and this organization is already in place, even in the remotest villages. There are many other organizations available as well. The important thing is that we all do what we can, continue to hold the Light and hold the vision of healing this planet. I wish I could say this is the end of it all and from now on it will only get better, but it looks to me like we’re in for a fair amount of suffering in these next few years of international crisis and earth changes.
More than ever, this is yet another reminder to live each moment fully. We are part of this physical reality for such a brief time.

Election 2004 (November 23, 2004)
So, now the election is over, and the war is still raging, and most of us are left with sadness and trepidation. I try to walk lightly through the political sphere, keeping my thoughts and words where they belong, in the world of spirit and healing. And yet I received many calls asking “why is this happening?”
We are here to hold Love and Light–at least those of you I imagine reading my website! Sometimes this sounds overdone and trite, love & light, la la la!!. And yet, it is my truth, the belief that gets me through bad election results, teenagers, endless chores, pain and suffering of all kinds. I’ve always believed that everything happens for a reason, that everything is a lesson.
However, in the past year I have made a concentrated spiritual practice of simply opening to ANYTHING I find difficult. If I feel resistant, fearful, angry, controlling…any of the less appreciated human emotions…first I open to the feelings and honor them, really allowing them to be okay without judgment. Then I work with my intention to embrace the situation with an attitude of love and acceptance. This doesn’t mean I have to like it or understand it, or that I won’t use my understanding to make changes or set boundaries. I simply realize that the obstacle is in my life for some perfect reason for me. I work to understand other people’s perspectives, and I choose to remember there are lessons in everything. “How is this a good thing for me? What am I learning? How could this be positive in some way that I can’t see yet? How is this part of my darkness, my split self?”
I have noticed that when I truly open my heart to a difficult situation, there is a tendency for it to change. Sometimes the other person changes or seems to change. Perhaps my attitude shifts and I see the other person differently. But I have proof that when I give up my attitude of being right and seeing others as wrong, stuck, deluded or just plain evil, that somehow I feel better and they seem to act differently.
Applying this perspective to the politics of the world, we know that separation, hatred and war have been part of our experience for many thousands of years, and yet it doesn’t have to be that way. There have been peaceful, thriving cultures. We can still hold our vision, open our hearts to a positive outcome, even in a time where many of us feel very concerned about the future possibilities inherent in so many world struggles.
In this moment, we can do whatever we can to create a better world. Person by person. Gift by gift. Healing by healing. There’s lots to do now. If the Republicans get to be in power for another four years, it is likely even more services and benefits are going to be cut. It is likely we will have continued economic issues in this country and around the world. We can help each other. We can hold the Light in the face of fear and uncertainty. We can continue promoting peaceful politics. We can keep looking for solutions.
It’s important that we don’t harden our hearts and add darker energy to the split between people. The Republicans won (fairly or not). There must be a reason for that which is difficult for some of us to see. Finding a way to be truly open to the present reality is a worthy spiritual challenge, and an attitude more likely to build bridges of healing than by holding resentment, anger and fear.
Love. Compassion. Healing. Peace. This is what we’re here for. Channeling these energies through you in every encounter in your day to day life will make a difference to everyone you meet and ultimately will make a difference in the state of the country, and the state of the world. And, you’ll feel better too.

May 17, 2004 – VENUS ALIGNMENT ON JUNE 8THOn June 8th, Venus is in a rare alignment with the earth which is said to be another transition point in the deepening consciousness of the planet–an influx of the Divine Feminine energy for healing. Thetransit begins building energy on the 6th and wanes by the 10th. This is a good period for extra prayer, meditation and conscious connection with the higher frequencies of healing and love.

March 2, 2004 – Welcome to the new website: This is where I have always planned to write regular messages and yet the logistics were challenging. Now that I’ve learned to do the website myself, hopefully I’ll be much more regular with messages and articles. Feel free to use the email link above to ask for information on subjects which might be of interest to you and the readers of the site. I will write responses as I am able. I will leave previous messages as long as they are pertinent.As I review the November 4th letter about the Harmonic Concordance, I am remembering the meditation on that day. I was personally amazed by the powerful, loving vibration I felt coming into the planetary field. I knew it would be powerful, but the graciousness of the love was inspiring. I received a very clear message that we would be surprised by some of the acts of love which come to our attention in the next few years. Sometimes it’s difficult to see the transformation through the veils of sadness and pain, and yet I know we are in the midst of a great evolution, requiring courage and faith to stay steady with our vision of healing ourselves and the planet.
November 4, 2003 – Harmonic Concordance: Many of you may have already heard of the Harmonic Concordance, a rare and powerful astrological configuration that will be exact on Saturday November 8 at 5:14 pm California time. This alignment has not ever happened on the earth before and astrologically has the capacity to bring a higher frequency, healing, spiritual energy to the planet and to each of us individually. I would say this is the first grounding of fifth dimensional frequency on the planet, much like the Harmonic Convergence grounded fourth dimensional frequency on the planet in the late 80s, which then became fully manifest in the late 90′s. So for approximately 10 years we lived in split frequencies–the old, solid format, with the ability to connect with the higher frequency if we chose. In fourth dimension, telepathy and connectedness is stronger and the movement of time and energy is faster. During the last few years since this grounded, many people have become connected to their own intuitive abilities and there has been a great opening to spiritual and peaceful thought, yet at the same time it seems as if there is more war, greed and suffering occurring and certainly brought to our attention. This is normal in the healing crisis stage. The old must play itself out to be healed fully.
The fifth dimensional frequency ultimately is amazing spiritually and energetically and we will have approximately 10 years in my opinion to get used to working with it before it grounds fully on the planet. This will be at the time that many forecasters see to be a time of great upheaval on the planet; however by choosing to be part of the higher frequency now and getting used to the faster manifesting energies that it brings will allow us to survive and thrive in those difficult years. This is a time to understand and live the path of connectedness with all beings and to learn to be very clean in thought, word and action.
It is important to keep our thoughts clear and positive during the powerful energetic transmission this weekend, especially all day Saturday. I have heard that a group is doing a OM meditation from 5 to 5:30 pm CA time to empower the shift and I would suggest that everyone participates in this process and meditates as much as possible on the day as well. In addition you might want to look at your own astrological chart to see where the alignment impacts you directly and participate consciously in letting go of old patterns in the areas indicated and choosing to move forward in areas where undoubtedly you’re already feeling the push. The alignment includes a lunar eclipse in Scorpio/Taurus, so we have Scorpio Sun, Pisces Mars and Saturn in Cancer forming one grand trine. Then the moon in Taurus, Jupiter in Virgo, and Chiron in Capricorn, forms the other grand trine. Together this forms a six pointed star, the Star of David. The configuration is constellated around 16 degrees. As with all spiritual shifts, there are sometimes traumatic world and weather events which occur. It is important to keep our perspective of love and peace throughout all challenges.
